I had a dream that I and a friend were at Lowes or perhaps Home Depot looking through the racks near the back corner of the store where supplies get a bit sparse, trying to find something and getting a bit discouraged. Then, looking with astonishment, we saw, rousing itself from a sleep out of one of the racks, a full grown male African lion! We had no idea how he had gotten there-
If we ran, it would chase us. But if we did not get out of there FAST we were in grave danger. There were a few others also and we and these others made a careful hasty retreat, but when we tried to find a way out near the restrooms or the employee-
The school was still under construction and was uncompleted in a few areas. We entered it, but to our horror, the lion had followed us somehow and entered the school. As surreal as it sounds, it had now become an even larger tiger. The people working at the school fled from his path, and my friend and I quickly ducked into a long classroom that had two doors-
I knew that the Home Depot meaning was both that of workplace and marketplace. I work in restoration and spend much time in such places as do many contractors and builders. But so do plenty of private homeowners who shop there. The school meaning was also obvious. Plus the workplace meaning again since it was under construction. The two locations therefore meant workplace, public marketplace/shopping and finally schools. In short nearly all public locations. The lion and the tiger symbolize antichrist forces. This is my second antichrist-
trouble and evil are under his tongue.
8 He lies in wait near the villages;
from ambush he murders the innocent.
His eyes watch in secret for his victims;
9 like a lion in cover he lies in wait.
He lies in wait to catch the helpless;
he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.
10 His victims are crushed, they collapse;
they fall under his strength.
How long, Lord will you look on?
Rescue me from their ravages,
My precious life from these lions.
I will praise you in the great assembly;
Among the throngs I will praise you.
Do not let those gloat over me
who are my enemies without cause.
Another example is Jeremiah 2:13-
“My people have committed two sins:
They have forsaken me,
the spring of living water,
and have dug their own cisterns,
broken cisterns that cannot hold water.
Is Israel a servant, a slave by birth?
Why then has he become plunder?
Lions have roared;
they have growled at him.
They have laid waste his land;
his towns are burned and deserted
A lion from the forest will attack them,
a wolf from the desert will ravage them.
A leopard will lie in wait near their towns
to tear to pieces any who venture out.
For their rebellion is great,
and their backslidings many.
The dramatic shocking change from the workaday experience of shopping for things to the horror of seeing the lion emerge, shows that the antichrist terrors will begin suddenly without warning for most. That an African lion or an Asian tiger would emerge out of a pedestrian workaday American scene portends that foreign alien enemies are here in hiding, waiting for the day to emerge. Already we have seen terrorists strike in Europe and the Middle East suddenly in the midst of shopping centers and schools. To a lesser but growing extent, this country now as well.
That the lion was sleeping meant just that-
There are a lot of Christians who say we won't see the tribulation (spoken of as the sword, famine, and plague numerous times in scriptures). Here's what Jeremiah 5:12 says about such people:
They have lied about the Lord:
they said "He will do nothing!
No harm will come to us;
we will never see sword or famine.
Their prophets are but wind and the word is not in them;
so let what they say be done to them".
Therefore, this is what the Lord God Almighty says:
"Because the people have spoken these words,
I will make my words in your mouth a fire
and these peoples the wood it consumes.
People of Israel," declares the Lord.
"I am bringing a distant nation against you-
an ancient and enduring nation,
a people whose language you do not know,
whose speech you do not understand.
Their quivers are like an open grave:
all of them are mighty warriors.
They will devour your harvests and food,
devour your sons and daughters;
they will devour your flocks and herds,
devour your vines and fig trees.
With the sword they will destroy
the fortified cities in which you trust.
That the fleeing from them and barricading against them was so desperate and vulnerable means that time is growing shorter and their strength to defeat us is growing larger. Let those with ears hear.
Remember the bear dream?
